First off, our winner from last week's gorgeous photo giveaway is... (imagine a drumroll here): Asuka! Richard will be in touch with you about your win soon :)

What got you started with selling online? What inspired you to put yourself out there?
I wanted to find out if it could be profitable. If I could make money selling the things I make, I could spend more time doing what I like to do. I have always made things. Since I was a small child I have always had several projects going at all times. I love mixing and blending colors and textures and watching things come together. I chose jewelry for my online shop because it seemed like something that is widely appealing, affordable and easily sent through the mail. It’s kind of practical art.

What is your absolute favorite piece in your shop?
Hard question! Right now I’m pretty partial to the Delicate Trellis & Red Bead Necklace. Those red beads are so gorgeous.

What's the most important thing that you've learned through your experience selling and promoting yourself online?
I’m kind of an introvert and it’s been a struggle to go so public. But I think it has been good to stretch in that direction. It takes an awful lot of time that I would really rather spend creating, but promoting is a necessary part of selling. When I first opened my shop I couldn’t imagine how anyone was going to find it in the giant sea that is internet sales. It does get found now and I hope will continue to get found by more and more people. I’m still exploring and learning the best ways to go about it. I guess patience and perseverance are what I’ve learned about selling and promoting myself online.

What is your favorite quote (funny, inspirational - anything!)?
That changes from day to day too but I really like - “A bird doesn’t sing because it has an answer it sings because it has a song” – Maya Angelou
