What got you started with selling online? What inspired you to put yourself out there?
I was always in to photography and given the responses I was getting on sites like flickr etc I decided to try selling my photography. Redbubble came up as some where I had seen and bought art prints from before and so I investigated it further. Later on I decided to leave my current career and have a go at making it in the professional photography field. So far so good.
What is your absolute favorite piece in your shop(s)?
Hard to say, either Fishing with the Kids or Droplet on Bottlebrush but there are many the closely follow. Both of those are from when I was in Australia and remind me of home quite a lot. Previously I've leant towards nature, landscapes and macros in my work but recently I've been diverging into people in general but more specifically beauty, fashion and concept pieces that involve people somehow
What's the most important thing that you've learned through your experience selling and promoting yourself online?
Luck favours those who work hard! I've found that it requires a lot of time to make sales and a lot of hard work but if you put that in it can be very rewarding. Its important to always be true to yourself, to make the art you want to make and not change to try to be something that you perceive others wish you to be or something that you think will sell more or be more popular. I have been working at this for a few years now and only recently has it started to take off, it's something that you can never give up on, always keep working towards your goals and eventually you will achieve them.
What is your favorite quote (funny, inspirational - anything!)?
My favourite quote is "Bite off more than you can chew then chew like buggery" "M Mandl" Basically means to push and challenge yourself and make yourself achieve those targets
Richard is giving away a signed copy of my piece Fishing with the Kids in the Matted Print format from Redbubble to one lucky reader. If that image isn't quite your speed, he is also willing to substitute in any other signed matted print from his Redbubble site. The print is 218mm x 326mm (8.5"x12.8") and the matte is a total of 406mm X 508mm (16"x20").

Also be sure to include your email so that I know how to contact you if you win.
I thought all of the images very beautiful but was especially drawn to both the iris and the succulent.
